Michael C. Transtrum, DDS, MS
Dr. Michael Transtrum has practiced dentistry for over 25 years. He received his DDS degree from VCU/MCV School of Dentistry in 1997 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received multiple awards and recognitions for his clinical and academic accomplishments there. He was on the Dean’s List throughout his dental training and was nominated by his faculty to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He was selected by his faculty to be a tutor to underclassmen in their crown and bridge lab and was asked to be a member of the admissions committee to screen and interview dental school applicants.
Upon graduating from dental school Dr. Transtrum practiced as a general dentist for six years which gave him the opportunity to further his knowledge and experience in all aspects of general dentistry. He then completed a 2-year endodontic residency and received a Master of Dental Science degree from UDM School of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. Transtrum has practiced as an Endodontist in Colorado Springs for the past fourteen years. He established Aspen Endodontics in September of 2011 and has been practicing in his state-of-the-art facility at Briar Village Point since January of 2012. Dr. Transtrum is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association and the Colorado Springs Dental Society.
He has lectured for local dental study clubs and started a local Spear Study Club where he enjoys interacting and continuing his education with many of his colleagues.
He has been honored to be voted as one of the “Top Dentists” in Colorado Springs by his peers for many years running.
Dr. Transtrum takes great pride in his work and strives to treat every patient he sees with understanding, care and compassion.
Dr. Transtrum and his wife, Nicole, have been married for over 30 years and are the proud parents of four children, Bryant, Maddy, Alexa and Andrew; and 4 grandchildren.
